In the beginning and other stories…

Keith cannot remember a time when he did not draw and that’s where the story begins. Told by his father that art was not a ‘proper job’, Keith commenced a degree in Accountancy but within a year realised that he was destined to be the worst accountant ever. He subsequently switched degrees and graduated from Queen’s Univeristy Belfast in Business and Economics. A few years later, he was back at Queen’s again and quite a few years after that, he was working as a self-employed book designer and publisher. Eventually his 3D artworks become popular and he was gradually able to focus full-time on his art.

But stories that end this simply are a little boring – Keith always says, ‘Straight trajectories are to be avoided!’ So when he set up his studio, he thought it would be prudent to employ some sensible people who would give him balance. One of them, Matthew, was a graduate in Computer Games Development and, as Keith was already designing in 3D, the jump into Virtual and Augmented Reality was not altogether surprising. Deborah, Keith’s wife (a dangerous academic in Keith’s words!) runs this side of the business, along with Matthew, who was bizarrely once a school student of hers in another life when she was a teacher.
